One Day in New York City

The Morning News has a perfect example of why I love living in New York. Ten writers (and one illustrator!) chronicle one day in their lives in One Day in New York City. Very refreshing to read on a break from this very crazy day. Enjoy.

Hermés Beach Towels

More Hermés love… this time in the form of their printed beach towels. Spectacular color and level of detail. In time for some serious sunning in the Hamptons? Perhaps. Outrageously priced? You could say something like that. Beautiful? Absolutely. (via Something Stylish)

Printed beach towel, terrycloth, $450.

Christina Drejenstam

Good lord. I love the work of Christina Drejenstam so much. Watercolor + Ink + Spraypaint = Gorgeous effect. Her work appears fashion-based with work in retail, advertising and editorial. Love her style.

Sale @ Bath & Body Works

I did my share of mall shopping last weekend (a missed activity after shopping in Manhattan.) and ran into Bath & Body Works after spying that they were having one of their blowout sales. Got the above candles on sale for $5 and had to share. The White Barn New York line comes in so many delicious scents that are so strong for such little candles. Each candle comes in a frosted glass container with a metal lid that pops off á la the covers for the Henri Bendel candles. The labels peel off cleanly so they look fabulous in the home. I hate seeing those labels! The candles themselves are clean burning with lead-free wicks. Love.

White Barn New York Applemint, Passionfruit & Guava and Heirloom Apple candles, on sale for $5 each. (reg. $9.50)

Momomoogie

Momomoogie is the shop and blog of the extremely talented Stella Im Hultberg. Her pouty illustrations are absolutely gorgeous, many done with ink watercolor and tea. Prints may be purchased at her shop along with wallets adorned with her illustrations, and sweet art toys.
