Saw Little Miss Sunshine last week and keep thinking about it. It was most definitely the funniest movie I’ve seen this year. Steve Carrell is absolutely brilliant and little Abigail Breslin was absolutely adorable. Crazy week this week but thought I’d post this for now. Go see it!

August’s Vogue celebrates the supermodel with a feature about them as well as gorgeous fashion spreads featuring Christy Turlington, Carolyn Murphy, and most notably, Linda Evangelista. The Steven Klein shoot above with Ms. Evangelista was my favorite. Be sure to watch out for it.

Gorgeous ink, watercolor and gouache illustration from Stina Persson. She has done varied work for top clients such as Godiva, Nike and UNIQLO. Love the brightness of color and the way her brushstrokes, although abstract, are able to illustrate figures so clearly. Love.

The clothes at Aussie brand Lover are so beautifully made. Great fabrics, great styles. The current Spring/Summer 2006 Collection is very beautiful. There are some key pieces in the Fall Collection that are amazing as well and I love that there are separate collections for the Northern and Southern Hemisphere. Lovely typographic website as well.

Top invitation studio Ceci has updated their portfolio with new custom invitations that are in the trademark gorgeous Ceci-style. Each section begins with a few new weddings worth checking out. Love the Save-the-Date for Ellie & Mike with great old-world style. Adriana & Tony’s invitation is so romantic and the above invite for Lourdes & Tyler features lush botanical illustration. Love! Not really design-related whatsoever but I can’t stop listening to Justin Timberlake’s newest single, SexyBack. For the past few weeks, all weekend, always on repeat. Doesn’t sound like the Justin we’re used to but it doesn’t really matter because the song is ridiculously good. Can’t wait to see the video premiering next week (reportedly shot in Spain) and the full-length album. Totally slammed at work but thought I’d at least post this today.

Today’s PhotoJojo newsletter had a tutorial written by the very talented Mareen Fischinger about creating your own Panographies. These have an effect much like looking at a scene, taking it all in without looking through a camera. The instructions are very well-written… can’t wait to try taking some of my own. These would look beautiful printed oversized on archival paper and pressed between glass.

While going through links this morning I saw that Designer’s Library posted about the Hotel Des Arts in San Francisco, California. Loved it so much I had to post about it too. Some of the rooms in the hotel are painted by up and coming artists from the area. There’s a gallery online of all the artists and room 201 above by Kelly Tunstall is a definite standout. Also see the rooms done by Damon Soule, Maria Gillespie, Jet Martinez and Eric Orr. Love this place.

Abigail Percy is a lovely jewelry designer with a fabulous Etsy shop. Her work is so lovely, great shapes and use of materials. I love the historical outline stuff as well as the things she does with pearls—so simply. Absolutely gorgeous stuff… I am bookmarking for constant revisits.

Smythson of Bond Street has some great leather travel accessories in the greatest colors. I love the above travel wallet with all the separate pockets for departure ticket, arrival ticket, passport, and ID. The personalized passport cases are so adorable as well, I like how the silver stamping looks on the cover. Beautiful.

Grace posted about Osborne & Little today and I totally was feeling the patterns she was showing. When I visited the site I was happy to see tons of patterns available in varying styles and colorways in textiles and wallcoverings. I also love the furniture by Michael Reeves… oh, so lovely.
