Palindrome Press

Spied Alisha’s work from Palindrome Press on Brooklyn Bride and had to post… The work is so unlike most studios… and it’s totally amazing. Chelsea & Ben’s invite above is my favorite. See Palindrome Press’ Etsy shop here. Please also note that Alisha is offering a 15% discount on custom orders placed this month.

Monogram Inc.

I’ve been becoming obsessed lately with the idea of a custom drawn monogram. I came across the work of Caroline Brackenridge of Monogram Inc. and loved the antique linen-inspired designs. Gorgeous.

Work from the portfolio of Caroline Brackenridge. Custom work from $450.

Grafik180:CityArt

Spied these limited-edition chromaprints from Publique Living in the summer issue of Blueprint and totally loved the graphic nature and the simple typography. The prints are a collaborative between Jean Orlebeke and Lian Ng.

From Publique Living: “Grafik180:CityArt is a series of artwork inspired by the distinctive architectural skin from buildings around the world. Whether it be a pattern or shape that distinguishes these buildings, it is the first layer of visual iconic recognition. The cities in which these buildings reside in are called out by their airport code instead of their names, creating another layer of graphic distinction, akin to the visual alignment between architectural skins and buildings. The codes also function as a beacon of destination, proclaiming the cities’ association with inspiring architecture.”

Such a great gift for architecture and design aficionados.

Miami's COR Building, Orlando Epcot's Spaceship Earth, Boston's Upper Crust Pizza, Frankfurt's Biberach Research Laboratory, New York's New Museum of Contemporary Arts and Lelystad's Theater Agora. $325 each, PubliqueLiving. Each print is a limited edition of 180 and comes framed.

Ginette NY

I love the delicate intertwined pendants from jeweler Ginette NY. I keep meaning to visit the boutique downtown but haven’t made it quite yet. For now, I admire the work on ShopBop. These pendants say “Joy” and “You” in 14-carat gold. A co-worker has a personalized monogram of her initials and it is so gorgeous… The personalized pendants are smaller than the ones above but still as delicate. Such a perfect gift.

"Joy" pendant, $720. "You" pendant, $792. Both pendants on a 16" chain in 14-carat gold.

Si Scott

There is something lovely about hand lettering and embellishment as evidenced by the work of Si Scott… while looking through the work in the folio, an appreciation for hand lettering is truly realized. Be sure to watch the reel in which a piece is drawn from beginning to end. Beautiful stuff.

Bari Zaki’s Envelopes

While leafing through the September books I came across these great envelopes. Bari Zaki has affixed vintage postage to her envelopes that are completely mailable with no additional postage required. Each envelope is one-of-a-kind… the ones shown are examples of what one might recieve. The envelopes themselves are reproductions of various envelopes she herself has received. Such a wonderful idea for distinctive correspondence!

Large Bureau de Poste, $10 for one envelope with card and mailing label at Greer Chicago. Also available in a smaller size for $8.

Priya is twenty-nine. She lives in New York City. She art directs advertising for a luxury jewelry brand. She loves fizzy lemonade, Ladurée macarons, Jean Schlumberger jewels, vintage fashion advertising, Audrey Hepburn movies and letterpressed paper. She also loves her work.
