Chris Ferebee

Love the collage work of Chris Ferebee so much. Checked it out after a long time, prompted by his email. Typographical elements + vintage photography + arresting composition = truly stunning pieces. The color quality is so gorgeous. Love this stuff. Some limited editions of his collages are available in his shop.

Alvin Lustig Limited Edition Prints

Alvin Lustig was one of the greatest graphic designers of our time. Available now on his website are limited-edition prints of some of his well-known book covers. Gorgeous color, composition and typography. Screenprinted by master printer, Luther Davis, “Colors were mixed by hand to match the original jackets from the 1940’s and printed on high quality 100% Cotton (lightly textured, soft white) Archival Coventry Rag (335gsm) using water-based inks and enamel black.” Gorgeous stuff. I’d love to have one on my wall.

Kirsten Ulve

I got a lovely packet from Gallery Hanahou announcing Kirsten Ulve‘s upcoming show in New York on February 23. Entitled, “Pictures You Will Like!” “world-renowned digital pop artist Kirten Ulve brings a cast of cute and creepy characters with brilliant limited edition prints!” Lovely stuff in her portfolio, I’ve been loving her work for a long while. I definitely hope to check this out.

UPDATE: Some of the prints (editions of 25) from the show are available for pre-order through the gallery for $250. Additional prints will be available on the 23rd of February at the show’s opening. (Anna, thanks for the update!)

Binth One-of-a-Kind Prints

Love these one-of-a-kind prints, made by essentially test printing existing artwork Binth already has in stock. Saw it first from Grace last month but hadn’t gotten a chance to really look at them till now. Beautiful imagery and great color combinations. Buy your favorite before someone else does.

"Decline of the Lawn" and "Underwater Pudding", $45 each.

Urban Typography @ Athenaeum Press

I am so completely floored by this letterpress shop. The above images are details of the prints but I had to show them this way so you’d really understand how gorgeously rendered these are. Athenaeum Press produces limited-edition prints by Peder Singleton. The work up for sale now is part of his Urban Typography Project and feature a 3-color process for printing representations of old signage located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Gorgeous color combinations. I can barely get over it. I’ll most more soon. P.S. Nirali Magazine relaunches today. Apologies for neglecting this lately. You’ll see why when you see Nirali.

Clockwise from top left: The Egyptian, $125 (edition of 30). R, $75 (edition of 30). Classic Bowling, $125 (edition of 30). Utah Ice & Storage Co., $125 (edition of 30).

Dear Olive letterpress studio has these gorgeous letterpress limited-edition prints of seashells. Each print is a reproduction of a 19th-century engraving, exquisitely rendered in letterpress. The level of detail is stunning. Love the range of color as well. Also check out their cards, many of which are based on illustrations from the New Yorker and Harper’s Bazaar.
