Rashmi Varma Spring 2007

Lovely silhouettes and bright color (although not shown in this select!) at Rashmi Varma. Interesting draping going on… love the photography as well.

Black Hoodie, Cloak Dress, Cockroach Visor (for show).

Anthropologie Early Spring

The new Anthropologie catalog is out. Gorgeous, as always. I especially love this dress… so striking. All the photography is gorgeous, styling impeccable, as usual. Especially loved the chalk drawings on the walls on the home décor pages. God, I love this brand.

Opposites Attract?

Never in my life have I felt such attraction to a pair of shoes. It’s really especially inexplicable because 1.) I feel like I cannot pull off patent leather and 2.) Straw platform soles make me feel like I should be in high school. Maybe it’s the color, perfectly nude… not too neutral with just the right hint of pink. Maybe it’s the fact that the soles aren’t too rustic. Whatever it is, it’s just gorgeous. As seen at BagSnob.

Miguelina Fall/Winter 2006

Floaty lacy clothes at Miguelina for Fall/Winter 2006. Some of their look book is online. I love the use of lace and all the pleating. Perfect holiday dresses. While I couldn’t find info on where to buy the first piece above online, I was able to find the second on (interestingly enough) Amazon along with a few other pieces from Miguelina’s Summer 2006 collection. I found a few more retailers who carry some of their halters and dresses for those of us not on the West Coast.

Roland Mouret for the Gap

Roland Mouret will be unveiling his collection of dresses in the U.S. for the Gap on December 1. The collection of ten dresses caused a riot in London last week as it was unveiled there. Lovely stuff… I’ve only seen a few dresses from the collection and I really like what I’m seeing. Very wearable and—dare I say—comfortable looking dresses. According to the Telegraph, Mouret tested his dresses on girls in the Gap offices rather than fit models. Three of the ten dresses are for Project(Red) and the most expensive dress in the collection tops out at $108. Love that.

Tretorn Rainboot

I’ve been looking for the perfect rain/snow boot all season. I hate buying a new pair of boots every winter season so I am willing to invest in a good quality boot that I won’t have to replace next year. As much as I love all the cute patterned Wellies girls are wearing in New York, they make me look like a little kid. I was really craving a rubber rain/snow boot that is tall and sleek. Last week I found the Swedish company Tretorn and immediately bought a pair of their rubber rain boots. Tall rubber boot, lined with fabric with stretchy side panels and a long zipper. Also, a cute wedge heel! It comes in a deep pink, brown and green. I’ll be sure to let you know how they are when I get them! (Be sure to check out the cute shoe boots, too!)
