Tretorn Rainboot

I’ve been looking for the perfect rain/snow boot all season. I hate buying a new pair of boots every winter season so I am willing to invest in a good quality boot that I won’t have to replace next year. As much as I love all the cute patterned Wellies girls are wearing in New York, they make me look like a little kid. I was really craving a rubber rain/snow boot that is tall and sleek. Last week I found the Swedish company Tretorn and immediately bought a pair of their rubber rain boots. Tall rubber boot, lined with fabric with stretchy side panels and a long zipper. Also, a cute wedge heel! It comes in a deep pink, brown and green. I’ll be sure to let you know how they are when I get them! (Be sure to check out the cute shoe boots, too!)

Oh thank you thank you thank you for finding them. One question…where did you buy them in NYC? I have fat calfs(embarrassed) so need to see if they actually will zip over my legs. Also best to try them on to see if they are true to size. Thanx 🙂

JaneOfAllTrades— I bought them straight from Tretorn. I couldn’t find a New York retailer that carries these boots. Some carry the shorter ones, some only carry the sneakers. You can get them on Zappos and enjoy thier free shipping both ways on the boots so you can send ’em right back if they don’t fit. Unforch, last FRIDAY they didn’t have my size but it appears theey have all the sizes now on there. Dammit! 🙂 See here. Also, read those reviews, I’ve found them most helpful. I was debating between these and the Sigerson Morrison ones that look like wingtip boots but people were saying that boot is a pain to get off because of the combination of no zipper and it being rubber. They are so cute but I wasn’t willing to go through the trouble.

Ismat— I got brown! (See the above link) I was totally jonesing for the raspberry ones but I have so many coats, brown is easier to match.

So happy you all like the boots! They are coming soon!
