Adam Frank
Amit alerted me to these sweet lamps made by artist Adam Frank. Beautifully delicate acid-etched forms provide a wonderfully detailed impression. A very dramatic effect.
NEST Lumen, $48.

Just got back from taking a very interesting tour through Manhattan of great examples of historical typography. I took some photos, something I really mean to do more of. (and I got a spankin’ new Flickr Pro account to get myself moving.) The photos are here… just wanted to share them. Have a lovely weekend.

I saw the above textile designs on Meg’s Designer’s Library and loved them so much. These textiles are from Knoll as part of Abbott Miller‘s Grammar Collection. Totally beautiful typographic forms comprise these wonderfully textured patterns.
Uh, Delia’s? Really? Yeah! The super cute Dottie suits caught my eye and they’re super cheap. Perfect! While you’re there check out the ballet flats and jewelry.
Dottie Bandeau, $19.50. Dottie Keyhole Hipster, $24.50.
Last night while flipping through the new West Elm catalog I came upon some photos of a dark bookcase showing off white coral and loved the look. I know that aside from it being endangered and environmentally irresponsible to farm, it’s wildly expensive. I wondered how hard it’d be to source the fake stuff. Of course today while perusing trusty Crate & Barrel I came across these specimens of cast coral made out of polyresin. Beautiful!
Cast Coral, $44.95 each.
I’ve been getting these adorable mini catalogs from Anthropologie for the past month chock full of dresses. So many dresses, in fact, that I’m totally craving almost every one. The whole collection is worth taking a look at, so many sweet looks. Total yum.
