Rashmi Varma

Neha posted on Sepia Mutiny about finding designer Rashmi Varma. So glad she did! Oh lord the clothes are so gorgeous. Modern western clothes utilizing the traditional types of hand embroidery and embellishment found in India. Gorgeous stuff. I’m off to a wedding in Dallas… be back Sunday. Have a lovely week.

Hand embroidered Kantha cotton trench, price upon request.

the stitching offers such a delicate contrast – it is gorgeous – very much West meets East!

This is unbelievably beautiful. I love the shape of the coat and the stitching adds a whole new dimension!

This is great. I love adding texture by embroidery to an otherwise “plain” piece of fabric/garment. Although, this coat is not plain at all. The texture adds to it.
