More goodness from J.Crew. The new catalog has dropped and it’s fab. I want sunshine. Now.

Love the fashion photos for the floaty Spring gowns over at New York Magazine as a part of this week’s Spring Fashion issue. The color in itself is stunning. I’m so excited for this season.

The Pirelli tire company’s famous calendar is out now for 2008. Shot by Patrick Demarchelier in Shanghai, it features models such as Gemma Ward, Coco Rocha, Catherine McNeil, Doutzen Kroes and Du Juan.

The website itself is lovely to peruse… see all the calendars shot by legends such as Herb Ritts, Richard Avedon, Peter Lindbergh and Annie Leibovitz. Wish I knew more Italian.

I loved the shoot with Natalie Portman in this week’s T:Style Magazine. (As my co-worker Thomas says, “It’s impossible to take a horrible picture of the girl.” And I concur.)

I also am loving the new website for the T:Style Magazine… it’s so much fun to go through the articles and see all the photography. (And also better work-wise as this gives advertisers an amazing platform for advertising!) The new blog is also great… I can’t wait to see more content. My boss showed me the Fotographie issue for fashion photographer Tim Walker and I immediately fell in love with his work. Glam, decay, fantasy, impressive lighting… it’s all there. See more of his work here.

Strolling through ICFF last weekend, I have to confess that not much really impressed me. The display from Lumas, however, stopped me in my tracks. Just what I was looking for: affordable photography produced in limited editions.

Each signed and numbered photograph is a part of a limited edition and the photographers range from new talent on the scene, masters, classics and scientific photography. The gallery also offers some photos in open editions which are more affordable than the limited editions.

The photos can also be bought as is or framed and mounted. Firsthand, those options looked to be very well done. Also, the sizes of the prints offered provide a big impact… sizes range from approximately two feet square and larger.

The prints are absolutely stunning in person. I am loving this concept. Lumas has a brick and mortar gallery in Soho in New York that I’ll be sure to check out.
