Petra Borner

Petra Borner‘s work arrived on my desk today. I absolutely fell in love with her botanical style, fantastic colors and exquisite attention to detail. Ms. Borner Graduated from Central St. Martins in 1999 and became a fashion designer at Seraph-Sherald Lamden (London) and Susan Cianciolo (NY). She also has her own accessory brand, Bo Bags. Petra’s client list includes, among others, Lulu Guinness, Elle, Penguin books, Habitat, Louis Vuitton and Cacharel.

Tiphanie in New York Magazine!

I was quickly flipping through this week’s New York Magazine when an illustration stopped me in my tracks. One of my favorite collage artists, Tiphanie Brooke did a fantastic illustration for a theatre review. Made me happy. Yay Tiphanie! Click the above to see it in all its glory.

Hotness! See a previous post about Tiphanie here.

What The Deuce?

That’s what you might be thinking. I’ve been compiling a monster list of links using a lovely service called Del.icio.us for a few months. Though the tagging is amazing, and the community is phenomenal, I was beginning to get overwhelmed in finding the links I was looking for without a visual aid. I decided (after, of course using the service for four months) that I’d come back to blogging but blog my links so the blog serves as a sort of digital scrapbook. Eventually all my links at del.icio.us will be here, illustrated wonderfully and (hopefully) utilizing a tagging service.

And the above? That’s a freaking awesome painting by Dave Chung. Dave’s work is fantastically funny and makes you wonder what the hell is going on. I love it all.

This Is Why WE Can't Have Nice Things by Dave Chung, fellow student @ SUNY Buffalo and all around talented chap.

Wicked Cobra

The collages at Wicked Cobra are gorgeously tactile and deliciously retro. Gotta love all the vintage appliances and Japanese typography.

Johnny Yanok

I bought last night’s Tiny Showcase print and totally fell in love with this illustrator’s work. Johnny Yanok is super talented and his style is totally uber-playful with great colors and textures. So excited to get this print!
