Loved this collection… mostly because I didn’t see many formal dresses this season that I liked. Definitely loved the dresses at Carmen Marc Volvo. Such pretty pleating and fabrics. The entire collection was a study in black and white with bits of metallic plum and metallic navy. Especially loved the portrait-collared coat that opened the show.

Totally loved the Tory Burch clothes. Absolutely fabulous coats. The best bunch of coats, actually that I’ve seen this week. Love the gold monogram buttons.

The Phi Fall 2007 collection was a bit edgy and dark. And I liked it. Love all the layering that’s happening here and the mix of fabrics.

Amazing sportswear at Michael Kors. Some might find sportswear boring but I tend to love these very comfortable looking clothes… mostly because they are still work appropriate. Kors showed mostly neutrals with pops of yellow (love gray for fall in general) in cashmere knit plus lots of fur.

Monique Lhuillier’s collection seemed a bit different than what we’re used to seeing from her. This time, lots of short dresses with a kind of severity. I did like the embellishments on the short dresses. We’re seeing an awful lot of metallics for the fall season, I’m noticing.

I don’t know what it is but I was totally getting a Little Red (Black) Riding Hood vibe from that first look. I’m kinda loving it. Again, with the short dresses… I’m noticing a lot of designers this season are showing minidresses.
