Ork Posters

Loved these gorgeous typographic posters from Ork. Designed by Jenny Beorkrem, they are affordable, large and simple… they definitely make a statement. Cities currently available are Chicago and Brooklyn. The Manhattan poster is coming out soon as is one for Boston. (via AT: Chicago)

Brooklyn poster, 18" x 24", $25. Manhattan poster, 16" x 36", coming soon! Posters printed with soy ink on recycled paper.

Mapping The Way

Artstream Studios introduced their new exhibition to me earlier this week. Six artists have created work based on the idea, “Mapping The Way.” The work is all on paper and will be for sale after the opening reception tomorrow, Friday, November 2 on the Artstream online store.

The prices are extremely affordable with work starting at $40. The artists in this show are Heather Smith Jones, Anna Corpron & Sean Auyeung, Edibeth Farrington, Susan Schwake and Stephanie Levy.

The work above is done by Anna Corpron & Sean Auyeung (of Sub-studio). Celestial Extinction 2 and Celestial Extinction.

Nantaka Joy

Joy‘s Nantaka Joy e-commerce site is now live and it’s so gorgeous. Love the product photography and, of course, the products themselves! So far on my wishlist? The I Love… Notebook and the Metallic Card Sampler. Congrats, Joy!

Kyouei Balloon Lamps @ DesignBoom

Thought these would make such a great chandelier for a party. Each balloon is lit by a small LED light (which I suppose don’t get as hot as conventional lights.) and is powered by small batteries which last up to 100 hours. I love the clustered organic look of these.

J. Crew Holiday 2007

Lately I’ve been loving the detail J. Crew has been giving to their clothes… enough so now to warrant the prices. The new holiday catalog dropped in my mailbox yesterday and I have to admit that I am so swayed… pretty photography and perfect locales seem to always get me. (Reference all the previous posts regarding Anthropologie.)

Not to mention the clothes themselves are just getting better and better. Now obsessed with the ruffle-necked silk halter, a sweetly pleated sweaterdress, the silk-satin frame purse, the graphic shirtdress… so much more, Lord I’m getting carried away. Peep it all on jcrew.com. (Jordan’s got it bad for the Crew too… see her faves here.)

From J. Crew Holiday 2007. (I tend to like black clothes...)
