Caught Domino’s Editor-in-Chief Deborah Needleman’s Tribeca home in this week’s New York Magazine and loved it so much. That living room is to die for and oh, dear the gray on the walls of her dining room is sublime. I love how everything looks so light and airy and yet so comfortable. See it all here. (And check out the rest of the issue… this week is the Home Design issue!)
Anna Wolf

Anna Wolf’s work employs tons of nature shots. Such beautifully lit shots. She does a lot of work for Urban Outfitters, as evidenced by her tear sheets. (via Whitespace)

Abigail Percy

Saw these new earrings from Abigail Percy via Outblush and loved them. These delicate outlined shapes give a great twist on a hoop earring. I popped over to her website and saw she has more new pieces on display there including the above necklace. Visit Abigail’s Etsy shop here.

The Cake Girls

Saw these sweetly stunning cakes and wanted to share them. Love these from The Cake Girls. There’s just something nice about a swiss dotted cake. Also, check out their special cakes (iPod birthday cake, anyone?) and baby shower cakes.

Alena Hennessy’s Little Gathering

Got a sweet email from Alena Hennessy regarding her upcoming show this weekend in a tearoom boutique called Bouteaque, New York’s Lower East Side. Her work, called “A Little Gathering” looks absolutely amazing. I am planning on checking it out just to see it all in person. The show will be on display from May 5 to June 30, the reception is from 3-7pm on Saturday. Bouteaque is located at 226 East Third Street, between Avenue B and C.
Midday in the Pine, $40. Little Gathering, $30.
Libertine for Target GO! International

Caught the preview for this fall’s Target’s GO! International line by East-West (Coast) design house Libertine on Target.com. It’s a mix of shorts and long sleeved tops, lean jeans and lots of stripes and great pattern (look at that cornucopia printed blouse!). While it isn’t nearly as grand as the Libertine we’re used to seeing, there’s some interesting wearable stuff obviously designed with mass-market in mind… They have definitely kept their signature style with skull patterns in sweaters and great silkscreened bits on the shorts and tees and blouses. I’m loving the shirt dress and that ruffle-neck jacket. Also the Lace Bolero (Look 2) and all of Look 16 (not shown above… there were just too many to choose from!)
Be sure to check out Patrick Robinson’s GO! International line when it rolls out this Sunday, May 6th! See my picks here.
Ruffle-Neck Jacket, $39.99. Silk Cami, $19.99. Shorts, $19.99. Striped Tunic, $17.99. Hat, $14.99. Striped Shirtdress, $29.99. Eyelet Shirt, $24.99. Skirt, $34.99. Printed Shirt, $21.99. Crepe Dress, $39.99.
Lola&Bailey

I got a wonderful email from Cheri and Theresa of Lola&Bailey and had to post their graphic jewelry. The collections are based on a fictional couple, Lola and Bailey, and are designed to capture the various stages of their romance. Cute concept. Each piece is made of layers of acrylic and are hand riveted together with sterling silver rivets on silk strands with a magnetic clasp. They will be showing at Sydney Fashion Week very shortly. All you Aussies, keep your eyes out!
The First Kiss, Dali, Bellini. Price upon request.
Zara Spring/Summer 2007

Caught this on Fashionologie and had to post… I love Zara, what can I really say? It’s gorgeous clothes, with great details for reasonable prices. See the Spring/Summer 2007 collection online here.
Sorry for the lack of updates lately. Work is well, work. Nirali is also picking up steam and demands a heck of a lot of time. See me over there from time to time on The Daily. xoxo
Love the look with the oversized watch.
Kara Janx Spring 2007

Loved everything at Kara Janx… her clothes are consistently so comfortable-looking. The convertible skirt shown on the left up there is utter genius… it’s one size fits all and can be worn as a high waisted skirt (as shown) as a super short dress or a regular-waisted knee-length skirt. Three of this season’s trends in one piece! The silk dress on the right is gorgeous and comes in great color ways and different lengths. Simple and lovely stuff.
Maya Silk Wrap Skirt, $350. Silk Combo Dress, $350.
Samantha Bremer

Caught Samantha Bremer’s photos on I Heart Couture and fell in love with these circus shots. I love delicate yet saturated color like this. Gorgeous, just gorgeous.
Apologies for lack of posting lately. Work’s picking up again and so is Nirali Magazine… You can catch me there at times on The Daily.
Circus love.
Reuber-Henning

I got a lovely email from Franziska Henning regarding her line of hand-knotted rugs called Reuber-Henning. The rugs are made in Nepal and are designed by Franziska, a trained painter who employs a very illustrative style to the designs which are inspired in part by 19th-century German cutouts and Japanese woodblock prints. I especially loved the Story line of rugs featuring silhouettes of children playing. The Scenery line is so delicately illustrated. Very gorgeous and graphic work here.
