The Handmade Wedding

Rebecca of Moontree Press is over at the Design*Sponge guest blog talking about The Handmade Wedding for the next two weeks. She’s got two posts up already and both are chock full of fantastic and creative ideas. Be sure to keep reading all week. Please also be sure to check out her own blog which showcases the amazing letterpress work she does.

Lucky Paperie

Melanie Carter from Lucky Paperie sent me a sweet email today to share her letterpress studio. Lovely work, great color sense and typography. I loved the variety of styles she shows. See the invitation portfolio here.

The Jeannie invitation. Sets start at $800 for offset printing and $1,200 for letterpress printing.

Moo!

Yes, late in the game, I know. I’ve seen these cards advertised on Flickr for the longest but have never actually seen one in person. I was at a great gathering tonight and got a few of these calling cards from some great people I met and was very impressed by the quality of printing and paper stock. Nice hefty stock with a yum satin finish. These cards are done by a company called Moo and work seamlessly with your Flickr account. Order in batches of 100 and recieve cards with images from your own Flickr stream, cropped however you like to fit these skinny-mini calling cards. (You can order 100 cards each with a different image on them… or 100 cards with just one image. Sweet!) The other side can be personalized with up to six lines of text. See what others have done with their Moo cards. I already ordered a set. This could get addicting.

Moo cards found on Flickr: RedHotJezebel's cards. Blancucha's fabulous illustrated cards. Moo calling cards, $19.99 for 100 cards.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Hope you’re having a lovely Valentine’s Day… We’re totally buried in snow/sleet/hail/rain in New York. (Well, a few inches isn’t exactly buried but for a pedestrian city it’s pretty nightmarish. Says the girl who went to school in Buffalo. Yeah.)

Charming Gardener

Absolutely loved the work at Charming Gardener. Gorgeous typography and imagery. Loved all the letterpress work for occasions and identity. The attention to detail is exquisite.

One Blossom

Such pretty wedding invitations from One Blossom incorporating a wide variety of botanical motifs. Some very striking color combinations… also am loving how each piece of the package above fits into the overall theme without being too matchy-matchy.

Whimsical Bird invitation.
