Judy of Five and a Half sent me a lovely email informing me about her great new photo journals available for sale in her store. The front and back covers of these journals are made from silver gelatin prints and feature the signature Five and a Half pockets on the inside flaps. I use my journal religiously, doodling and sketching… the variety of found papers actually make for some great inspiration. I got some great coloring book pages in my journal! These make great gifts for your writer/artist/dreamer friends. Also at Five and a Half are beautiful collaged greeting cards with all proceeds going to Children For Children. No two cards are alike! Lovely stuff, Judy!
Dauphine Press
Adored these new letterpressed notebooks from Dauphine Press‘ new(ish) online shop. The press is now carrying a wide variety of notecards, notebooks, gorgeous letterpressed favor boxes and custom stationery in addition to their wedding invitation business. Absolutely lovely stuff.
Observations Notebook, $12. Floral Notebook, $12.
Louella Press
Speaking of checking back with some of the designers I saw at the Stationery Show, just saw that one of my favorite designers at the show, Louella Press, has a full site up with lots of work from thier wedding portfolio. They use the engraving technique for thier cards which I have never seen done in such a modern and forward way. Love the engraving on dark card stocks. They design with a varied style and do traditional, modern and vintage looks that all look amazing. The quality of engraving is superb… gorgeous stuff.
Bouquet Invites and a detail of Jasmine.
Mr. Letter’s Press Does the Holidays
I have been checking back with Mr. Letter’s Press since the Stationery Show for a full website but was appeased recently when I found that they put up a PDF with some of thier catalog on their website. I remembered seeing the above cards at the show and thought I’d share them with you… They have a little easel on the back so they can be propped up and displayed. I really liked the headless snowman… somehow I found it amusing. The thick pillowy card with the deep letterpress impressions makes a snowman look all the more lovely. Other favorites include the Thank You postcards, Generic Postcard, and the We’ve Moved postcards. Such great and graphic work.
Headless Snowman card, easel included on back. Enclosed in a baby-blue square flap envelope.

There are some lovely holiday card options available now at Port2Port’s Etsy Shop. As always, totally swoon-worthy. The limited edition calendar sold out already today, be quick and put your orders in for cards lest your favorites be gone soon too. (thanks Joy & Grace for the heads up.)

Plume Press
The work at Plume Press is absolutely outstanding. Love this aesthetic, lots of flourishes and ornamentation. The color combinations are quirky without being too weird. Beautiful work.

Saibu
Sayuri sent me a lovely email tipping me off about her lovely cards at Saibu. The cards feature a woven label that is affixed to a patterned vellum belly band that wrap around the card. So simple, chic and elegant. The patterns are quite lovely as well.

Five and a Half
Five and a Half collects found papers and binds them into one-of-a-kind pocket sized journals. I love notebooks like these… satisfies the paper junkie in me. They also add in pockets and mini booklets made from leftover papers. Simply designed to really showcase the papers. Lovely stuff. Available in various stores in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
Bari Zaki’s Envelopes
While leafing through the September books I came across these great envelopes. Bari Zaki has affixed vintage postage to her envelopes that are completely mailable with no additional postage required. Each envelope is one-of-a-kind… the ones shown are examples of what one might recieve. The envelopes themselves are reproductions of various envelopes she herself has received. Such a wonderful idea for distinctive correspondence!
Large Bureau de Poste, $10 for one envelope with card and mailing label at Greer Chicago. Also available in a smaller size for $8.
New Cards @ Good on Paper!
Lisa from Good on Paper emailed me this morning to announce her new line of screened cards. The cards feature an adorable bird motif and are printed with vegetable inks on recycled paper. Great color combinations, as always. Lisa also has a new card called With You All the Way that she designed in the memory of her cousin Gary. 100% of the proceeds of this card benefit the American Cancer Society.

OrangeBeautiful
Beautiful typography and design at OrangeBeautiful. Also offered is custom bookbinding, examples of which are shown in the portfolio… lots of gorgeous custom books that appear to be scrapbooks and photo albums. Love the monogram above as well as the line of greeting cards that debuted at this year’s Stationery Show.
