Samantha Bremer

Caught Samantha Bremer’s photos on I Heart Couture and fell in love with these circus shots. I love delicate yet saturated color like this. Gorgeous, just gorgeous.

Apologies for lack of posting lately. Work’s picking up again and so is Nirali Magazine… You can catch me there at times on The Daily.

Circus love.

African Queen

One of my absolute favorite models, Liya Kebede had a fashion spread in Sunday’s T:Style Magazine in the New York Times featuring clothes inspired by traditional African dress. Just caught the photos now and absolutely loved them. Shot by Paolo Riversi, these have such gorgeous color and styling… of course she looks absolutely stunning. (And I wish I could find more of Riversi’s work online past the cursory Google search!) Anyway, see the whole slide show here.

Noah Kalina

My boyfriend sent me the link to Noah Kalina’s interior photography portfolio and I got so addicted clicking through the various spaces. Taken mostly in restaurants in New York, Kalina shoots interior shots for the America Online Cityguide. His blog serves as the best of the best shots from his jaunts. Fantastic shots of some of the best restaurants in New York.

Neeta Madahar

Saw the photography of Neeta Madahar and just had to post. Loved the feeling of her Falling series… images of spinning maple seeds as they fall from her second story window. Such great movement and color in these photographs. (via House & Garden.)

Mimi Ko Photography

Mimi Ko’s photography is so gorgeous. The above were my two favorite shots in her portfolio. Gorgeous delicate color and fabulous light.

Revenge of the Supermodel

August’s Vogue celebrates the supermodel with a feature about them as well as gorgeous fashion spreads featuring Christy Turlington, Carolyn Murphy, and most notably, Linda Evangelista. The Steven Klein shoot above with Ms. Evangelista was my favorite. Be sure to watch out for it.

Panography!

Today’s PhotoJojo newsletter had a tutorial written by the very talented Mareen Fischinger about creating your own Panographies. These have an effect much like looking at a scene, taking it all in without looking through a camera. The instructions are very well-written… can’t wait to try taking some of my own. These would look beautiful printed oversized on archival paper and pressed between glass.

For Mama

I made a contribution for a Mother’s Day Gift Giving Guide over at Photojojo. In case you are not already aware of Photojojo, they “find the best photo shiz on the web.” Subscribe to the newsletter and receive postings that cover cool things you can do with your photos as well as reviews of new photo gear. Enjoy!

My mother liked to bundle me up pretty good.

Instant Gratification

Fototiller introduced me to these wonderful guestbook albums from Adesso. Each page has a 3″ square die cut to display instant polaroid photos. Have your guests snap photos of themselves, insert into the album and leave a note. Perfect for birthdays, weddings, showers, graduations and anniversary parties. Each book is 30 pages can accommodate at least 75 guests if they take group photos.

Together Book

Photos lying around in boxes? Send them to TogetherBook and they’ll bind them in a linen covered book. They’ll deboss and stamp the cover too! And make custom linen covered sleeves for a set of books. Great gifts for new parents.

How sweet!
