I’ve been increasingly becoming obsessed with the idea of learning how to style food. I love finding blogs like photographer Matt Armendariz’s Matt Bites that not only feature mouthwatering photography but back it up with recipes. (See the posts on Aguas Frescas, Chocotortas, Tuna Crudo with Fennel and Radishes and Fennel and Citrus Salad that was recently featured over on Design*Sponge.)

The food photography gets me every time and on Matt’s portfolio site, I’m in heaven.

When my friend Jina told me about Meli & Angi, I was absolutely floored. Jina was also kind to remind me that they baked the cookies from her wedding and I immediately remembered the deliciousness.

The precise lettering is so amazing. Check out the monogrammed cookies they can make for weddings! Total icing perfection.

Saw these sweetly stunning cakes and wanted to share them. Love these from The Cake Girls. There’s just something nice about a swiss dotted cake. Also, check out their special cakes (iPod birthday cake, anyone?) and baby shower cakes.

I have decided to try to learn how to cook. Sites like the aformentioned Delicious Days and services in New York like FreshDirect will no doubt help. As I was planning the meals for the week, I remembered the fabulous Lunch at Noon, a recipe site from the good people of Noon Design. The site is broken up into courses and the food looks so delicious and simple to make. Love the layouts and the food photography and I enjoy the little fun fact information under each picture about the history of certain ingredients. Love.

Another reason why I love Target: Super Target’s online recipe section. You can search by type of recipe and see top rated recipes by users and reviews and save favorites in your online recipe box. The recipes are submitted by both Super Target and by users of the site. Plus, the nutritional information for each recipe is shown on the right side of the interface. It’s a gorgeous day here and I got a surprise from my office boo, Christie, this morning: POM Tea is pomegranate black tea and it’s ridiculously good. The perfect start to this morning. You know I’m a huge fan of this fruit and this tea is totally delicious and the packaging is awesome. The tea itself is brewed from premium whole tea leaves and is given a boost of POMx, “a highly-concentrated (and powerful) blend of polyphenol antioxidants” from pomegranates.
