Racked.com spotted an unnamed collection of images hanging out in the press room on Target.com. Based on the fact that Richard Chai was just announced as the next designer, rumors abound that this might be the collection. Could it be!? If it is Richard Chai, color me excited! This might be the best yet!
Gryson for Target

Spied a preview of Gryson for Target in Harper’s Bazaar and got a little excited. I’m curious to see these in person as imitation patent leather could get a bit plastic-looking in person. Launch date is only reported as sometime in 2008 but I’m thinking maybe early Spring since the product pages are already being set up on Target.com.
Patent Woven Bag with Cutout Handles, $44.99. (Also available in army green, white and black patent.) Woven Pouch in Blue Jean, $19.99. (Also available in army green, white and black patent.)

Libertine for Target GO! International

Caught the preview for this fall’s Target’s GO! International line by East-West (Coast) design house Libertine on Target.com. It’s a mix of shorts and long sleeved tops, lean jeans and lots of stripes and great pattern (look at that cornucopia printed blouse!). While it isn’t nearly as grand as the Libertine we’re used to seeing, there’s some interesting wearable stuff obviously designed with mass-market in mind… They have definitely kept their signature style with skull patterns in sweaters and great silkscreened bits on the shorts and tees and blouses. I’m loving the shirt dress and that ruffle-neck jacket. Also the Lace Bolero (Look 2) and all of Look 16 (not shown above… there were just too many to choose from!)
Be sure to check out Patrick Robinson’s GO! International line when it rolls out this Sunday, May 6th! See my picks here.

Marc Jacobs Cuteness

Went out shopping last weekend with the fabulous Leora and we stalked every Marc Jacobs store on Manhattan in search of sunglasses, rain boots and other such cuteness. I ended up grabbing the tote on the left… sturdy cotton canvas, roomy interior and super duper cheap at $12. Perfect size for shopping or going to the beach or as an extra bag on vacation. I also appreciated the roundabout type on the navy tote… very funny, Mr Jacobs. The similarly cute London tote is only available in the London store. These items are part of his Special Items collection which include a variety of inexpensive accessories such as plastic bangles, charm necklaces, key rings, and purse compacts.
Jacobs by Marc Jacobs tote, $12. London Shopping Bag, 7GBP. Available only in Marc Jacobs stores and Marc Jacobs London.
Patrick Robinson, Target GO! International

A peek at the next GO! International line by Patrick Robinson is up now in the Press Room at Target.com. I really like this collection… it’s full of lots of great casual looks for summer. That brown swimsuit is great as are the dresses and that cute crochet tunic. The collection hits stores this May. Next up for Target? According to Radar, it’s Libertine. (via Fashionista.)
Edit Note: This collection will be available on Sunday, May 6.

Roland Mouret for the Gap

Roland Mouret will be unveiling his collection of dresses in the U.S. for the Gap on December 1. The collection of ten dresses caused a riot in London last week as it was unveiled there. Lovely stuff… I’ve only seen a few dresses from the collection and I really like what I’m seeing. Very wearable and—dare I say—comfortable looking dresses. According to the Telegraph, Mouret tested his dresses on girls in the Gap offices rather than fit models. Three of the ten dresses are for Project(Red) and the most expensive dress in the collection tops out at $108. Love that.

Behnaz Sarafpour for Target’s GO! International
I heart Cheap and Chic. (Moschino, I heart you too.) I have been loving all these Cheap Chic lines lately. Everyday I seem to hear of a new collaboration. Viktor & Rolf + H&M. Vivienne Westwood and Thakoon + Nine West. Love the combinations. This is kind of old news but a preview of the new Behnaz Sarafpour line for Target’s GO! International that’s due out this fall is up on the Target website. Lots of lady-like loveliness that we expect from Behnaz plus lots of lace inspired stuff. I think it’s my favorite yet. (And I so want that coat and that duffel.)
