Operation Eden

“A Personal Chronicle of What Hurricane Katrina Did To My Proud Poor People” … Heart wrenching photos of Siege’s family and other suvivors who have lost everything after Hurricane Katrina. Siege is a photographer from NOLA now living in Brooklyn. See the blog for info about buying prints to support his family.

A ragged hymnal. An abandoned motor boat. The note reads, "Sorry about your boat it saved 5 peoples lives."

London… Quiet’n Down, I Need To Make A Sound

Watch M.I.A.’s video for “Bucky Done Gun” … not as beautiful as the “Sunshowers” video but still great for my favorite song on the album.

Who you are... Bucky Done Gun.

My New Toy

I’m going to India in a few weeks and wanted a new camera to accompany me on the trip. My coworker recommended the Lumix, mostly for the reason that we both suffer from severe Leica lust but are too poor to indulge. This is the next best thing. Panasonic camera, Leica lens. Gorgeous photos. I can’t wait.

Elum Letterpress…

Elum is constantly showing up in wedding magazines with pieces from their portfolio showcased as examples of letterpressed design. It doesn’t really get much lovely than this. The papers are very high quality and the printing is exquisite.

Place card, Elum Letterpress.

Wedding (Or Any Event) Epherma

The folks at Absorbent Printing print using letterpress on coasters of varying thickness. After seeing it done as part of a wedding in Martha Stewart, I kind of wondered how exactly one would go about doing it. Little did I know that companies specialize in it. Absorbent Printing accepts custom designs, too. I feel a little project coming on.

Look at those prices!
